Veterinary Associate – Growing mixed animal practice, brand new facility in beautiful south-central Kansas

Would you like to make a difference in animals’ lives, while earning a competitive salary within an attractive work schedule?  A growing, single-doctor, mixed animal veterinary hospital in the beautiful Gypsum Hills of south central Kansas invites you to apply for the position of full-time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Associate.

THE PRACTICE

Redland Veterinary Hospital has been providing comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care with an emphasis on exceptional client service and patient care in the south-central Kansas area since 2011.  We have a newly constructed facility, completed February 2017, featuring in-house chemistry, hematology & radiology services, as well as reproductive and carcass ultrasound services.  Our well-designed large animal facility has an indoor, heated working facility with a hydraulic chute.  The majority of our practice is cow-calf related, but we also serve equine and companion animal clients.  We foresee continued growth in all areas of our practice.

THE POSITION

You belong on our team if you have a friendly, positive attitude, along with the desire to provide quality, mixed animal health services in a rural setting.  A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, is required.  Candidate should be licensed in Kansas and have experience or interest in both companion and food animal health care.  This position offers the unusual benefit of working Monday through Friday.  Our small but growing practice has a caring and competent team and a low stress environment.

THE LOCATION

Nearby Medicine Lodge offers a peaceful pace of life, award-winning schools, a historical brick-clad main street, and many businesses offering most needed goods and services.  The landscape westward is like nowhere else in Kansas: the scenic, red-toned mesas and canyons of the Gyp Hills are home to many area ranches, but hiking, biking, horseback riding, cave exploring, and trophy deer hunting are also popular.

WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?

  • Competitive base salary + benefits + bonuses

  • Practice open Monday through Friday

  • Flexible and rotational emergency call

  • Continuing education reimbursement

  • Small practice with a lot of opportunity for growth

  • The community of Medicine Lodge

Any level of experience will be considered for this position.  Applicants must submit a resume in order to be considered for this opportunity.  If you feel our hospital and our community could be the place for you, please submit a cover letter and resume today to redlandvet@sctelcom.net.
